We wanted to look at options for him and the groomsmen to wear. Our wedding is a little more casual than the usual "rented tuxedo" look. Plus, with it being summer, we didn't want to put the guys through wearing a heavy wool suit. Instead, the thought is to buy Jason a suit for the wedding and buy the groomsmen pants, a shirt, and a tie.
First we went to Express one night this week after school. I originally wanted him in a gray suit and the groomsmen in gray pants, a black shirt, and a silver/gray tie. However, Jason didn't really like that look when he tried it out. I think of gray as a more modern color of a suit... Jason thinks it's the "old man" color. He hated it so much he wouldn't even let me take pictures.
We flipped the gray and black: black pants, gray shirt, black tie. Liked that look better (but not as much with the jacket).
Here are the pics from Express.

When I suggesting the groomsmen wearing the same pants and shirt (black pants, white shirt), but with a black tie, Jason shot it down... he didn't want our groomsmen to look like the religious people that solicit door-to-door (or on the Pitt State campus).
So the thought for groomsmen: black pants, silver shirt, black (and silver) tie, with a pink boutonniere... like the first pic from Express, but maybe a lighter shade of gray?
Express is definitely going to be more expensive... but Jason liked the look and feel of their stuff better.
So what do you think? Comments/ideas/suggestions? Is a gray suit really "old man" looking? (Josh, I KNOW you read this blog... here's your chance to have some say in what you're wearing!)
