One Down...

We've been married for ONE MONTH today. :o) Not that anyone's counting...

31 Days.

And I've spent 10 of those days with my husband. :o(  It totally sucks living in different states.  At least I've spent most of the last month at home.  Jason's been home for 3 days during that month.  He's spent the rest in hotels (during our honeymoon in Mexico, a business trip to Minnesota, at the extended stay place in Texas).  Thank goodness for those 3 days so Jason could do laundry!  I miss my husband!

Okay... whine over.

I haven't sorted through all of our wedding pictures yet (I got the flash drive of them yesterday!), but I wanted to share a couple of quick pictures.  I just love them!!!

So sweet...

Picture PERFECT!

My wedding pictures are available for online viewing!  I've looked through all of them (be prepared... there's a LOT!).  I won't get the DVD (and the ability to blog them) until next week when I go in to choose the pictures for my wedding album, but you can see all of the pictures here:

I just love them!  Angie and Stephanie did such a great job!  Enjoy!

I'm So Addicted To... Starbucks

So I have another addiction in addition to my iPhone... Starbucks!

If I could, I'd get a Starbucks every morning.  I just LOVE it!  Don't get me wrong, my Keurig is amazing, but Starbucks is in a totally different league.  I can go to the Starbucks in New York City and order my drink (Caramel Machiatto non-fat, upside-down, extra hot) and know I'm getting the same thing I'd get if I ordered it in Pittsburg, Kansas.

My dad calls it "Five-Bucks."  That's a pretty fitting name.  I usually spend about $5 on each drink there (Go Venti or Go Home!).  This is probably the main reason I don't get one every day.

Well, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be treating myself to a Starbucks on my wedding morning.  Good thing there's one in the Target right by the hotel we are staying at!

Oh, and no post is complete without some pictures.  So, for your viewing pleasure:

I'm So Addicted To... my iPhone!

I'll be the first to admit it... my iPhone is basically an extension of my arm.  It's with me pretty much all the time.  If I don't have it, I feel naked.

So how does this relate to the wedding?  Well, it's a topic of controversy... Do you update your relationship status on Facebook right away?  Do you respond to the well wishes texts you get on your wedding day?

Well, for me, I'm sure I'll have my iPhone with me the day of our wedding.  Chances are I'll be playing Words with Friends while getting my hair done, and reading statuses on Facebook while vegging in the morning.  That's just me.  It's what I do, and, honestly, I enjoy it!  So talk crap on me all you want, but I'll have my phone with me for at least part of my wedding day.  (I'll probably hand it off to my Day-of-Coordinator when it comes to picture time so she can take care of any "I'm lost!" calls from friends and relatives.)

Oh, and if you need some visuals as to why I think I should be able to have iPhone with me on my wedding day:

Actually from a site about NOT using your cell phone during a wedding!

After looking at these pictures, it makes me wonder... 20 years from now, what will my kids (or my grandkids in 50 years) think of pictures like these?  It will really "date" our wedding to have technology incorporated our photography.  I kinda like that idea!

Guest Book and Wedding Favors...

So I've been working on a few random crafty things for the wedding over the past week, but my camera battery is dead and I can't find the charging cord... So you'll have to wait for those blog posts. :o)

In the mean time, we booked another vendor... probably the one I'm most excited about!

Their website

Yep, that's right... we're gonna have a photobooth at our wedding!  I knew I wanted 3 things from our photobooth company: unlimited take home pics for our guests, guest book services, and a DVD of all of the images.  In addition to those things, this company also posts all of the pictures on Facebook for you!

In leiu of traditional wedding favors (honestly, who needs another mini picture frame or candle?!?) our guests can take home photo strips of themselves, and since they print unlimited copies of each photo strip, if there are 5 people in the picture, all 5 people can take home a copy (plus one copy fo us to use!).

Also, instead of the traditional guest book where you have a list of names that you will NEVER look at again, we are hoping to get an awesome guest book like these:

And just becuase I love photo booth shots so much...
This will be Jason's groomsmen/ushers...

Somebody get this kid a tissue! :o)

That's what she said...
The truth comes out!

Definitely going to have to get some of those signs!

Poor kid!

How many people can you fit in a photobooth?

If you wanna take my picture...

Another major decision made!  We have chosen our photographer... Angie at Design and Capture Studios!

As some of you know, I'm quite picture-obsessed (and that's putting it lightly!).  I had been doing research forever online (about a year... yes, some 6 months before we were actually engaged!) looking for an affordable photographer who shared my artistic vision for wedding pictures.  I could find ones that were in my price range, but I wasn't really happy with their final product.  Or I could find ones that I really liked that wanted half our budget for photography.  I finally found the right one at the right price!

So excited about this vendor!!!

Instead of telling you all about them, I'll let their pictures do the talking!  Head on over to their website and check them out!

Also, the second picture that pops up on their home page (the one with the couple and the clouds) was actually taken at Stony Point Hall.  Here's to hoping we have photos that look THAT amazing!
