In addition to the two brides, both of us brought along our mom and sister. It was a LONG and fun girls day out! We went to 3 different dress shops and probably tried on 30 dresses each. Whew! Oh, and there was a little Noodles and Co. action in there for good measure, and some K&M's barbeque after! :o)
Here's what I've concluded I want in a wedding dress:
- asymmetric design (gathered/folded/ruched (sp?) to one side)
- sweatheart neckline
- white (or close to white in color)... none of that ivory business
- corset top (no more zipper incidents!)
- some accents/beading, but not a lot
I pretty much have it narrowed down to 3 dresses: 1 at Mia's (the very first one I tried on), and 2 at Natalie M's. I'll probably plan a Saturday sometime and invite my bridesmaids girls to go shopping with me to look at them again make my final decision... then... PAPER FLOWER PARTY afterward!!!
And finally... To post pictures or not... that is the question. I guess I figured Jason wouldn't see my in my dress until that day. It's not a huge deal, but whatever. It's not like he reads this blog. He'll look over my shoulder while I'm composing a post, but I doubt he even knows the website. But just in case, I think I'm going to wait to post pics for now. Maybe next trip!
Ugh, don't leave us in suspense!! =) Everything you described sounds a lot like my dress! And it was from Mia's! Maybe it's the same one??
